Commitment to Long-Term Digital Preservation

GreenTech is dedicated to ensuring the permanent availability, accessibility, and preservation of all published content. To safeguard the scholarly record, we implement a robust archiving policy that protects research from loss, accidental deletion, or technological obsolescence.

Digital Archiving and Preservation

To guarantee long-term digital preservation, GreenTech employs the following archiving strategies:

  1. Institutional Repository

    • All published articles are stored in the Universitas Andalas’ institutional repository, ensuring redundant and long-term storage.
  2. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Systems (If applicable)

    • GreenTech partners with LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) to preserve its digital content. These systems create multiple copies across a decentralized network of libraries and archives to prevent data loss.
  3. PKP Preservation Network (PN) (If applicable)

    • The journal integrates with the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides free, decentralized digital preservation services for open-access journals.
  4. Indexing and Third-Party Repositories

    • All published articles are deposited in leading academic indexing databases and open-access repositories, ensuring their visibility and longevity.

Self-Archiving Policy

  • GreenTech fully supports self-archiving and encourages authors to deposit their published articles in:
    • Institutional repositories
    • Disciplinary archives (e.g., Agro-industrial engineering repositories)
    • Personal or academic websites
  • Authors are permitted to archive preprints, accepted manuscripts, and published versions under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), ensuring maximum research visibility and impact.

Permanent Article Access

  • All articles published in GreenTech are assigned unique DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to ensure perpetual discoverability and accessibility.
  • The journal guarantees that even if the website undergoes changes, articles will remain permanently accessible via archived copies.
