Commitment to Academic Integrity

GreenTech is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. We strictly prohibit all forms of plagiarism, text recycling, and unethical duplication of content. All submitted manuscripts must be entirely original and properly cite any referenced material.

Plagiarism Screening Process

  • The journal uses Turnitin as its official plagiarism detection tool to screen all submissions before peer review.
  • Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30% will be automatically rejected without further review.
  • If the similarity index is below 30% but still raises concerns, the editorial team may request authors to revise and properly cite the duplicated content before proceeding to peer review.

Types of Plagiarism Considered Unacceptable

  1. Direct Plagiarism – Copying verbatim text from another source without proper citation.
  2. Self-Plagiarism – Republishing one’s own previously published work without proper attribution or justification.
  3. Mosaic Plagiarism – Borrowing phrases, ideas, or structures from different sources without proper citation.
  4. Paraphrasing Plagiarism – Restating another author's ideas or text with minor modifications while maintaining the original meaning without crediting the source.
  5. Image and Data Plagiarism – Using figures, tables, or datasets without proper permission or attribution.

Consequences of Plagiarism

  • If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript will be rejected immediately and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.
  • If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article may be retracted following COPE guidelines, and a formal notice of retraction will be issued.
  • In severe cases, GreenTech reserves the right to notify the authors' institutions or funding agencies about the ethical violation.
